Women were guaranteed more rights in America than in Britian. The funny thing is that during the Revolution, women were treated the same as men. While their husbands were at war, they ran the farms, the newspapers, the family business. During this time they were of the same status as men were. Because it was new land, the women had to have the strength and leadership men needed.

The Revolution was a fair time period.
Abigial Adams wrote to her husband, "Do not put such unlimited power in the hands of husbands. Remember all men would be tyrants if they could. If particular car and attention are not paid to the ladies, we are determinded to foment a rebellion and will not hold ourselves bound to obey any laws in which we have no voice or representation."

As for the minorites, they were welcome as America citizens. No one of the lawmaking age was born in America. Minorites were considered the same as those who came from Britian.
