Why do parents feel the need to take their infants to movies?

As an advid movie goer i was wondering, why do parents have to take their infants to movies.

I totally agreet hat many of the children who go to movies should be left home. However, I know from experience sometimes its really hard to get a sitter. Also, think about $10+ per hour for at least 3 hours and the $35 dollars you spend at the theater = a lot of money to see a movie.

I too am an avid movie goer and I have a 10 month old so my family chooses the drive in that is in Sacramento Ca it's a bit of a drive but I don't feel like I am messing up any ones movie going experience by taking my children

They are inconsiderate of others. Some parents think their children are angels and that everyone should bow down to their kids. Some parents are too lazy or cheap to hire babysitters. Some just don't care about other people.

To annoy the living hell out of other movie-goers. That's one reason why I don't go to theaters anymore.

I am a parent of small children myself, so I know it can be hard to arrange babysitters. That's why I've taken my baby once to a movie, but it was a nightmare.

Sucks huh> When I saw 300, there were two toddlers in the back watching the movie and they were horrified by what they saw...way too grahic for small children. I talked to the manager and he said as long as it wasn't past 6 p.m, it was O.K for them to watch anything as long as their retarded *** mother was with them. (here's your sign)
