the other ones arent as great

By in NYC, do you mean Manhattan? Columbia is the best, followed by NYU. Fordham's main campus is in the Bronx, but they have a Manhattan campus as well. But there are others (e.g., Pace, CUNY, etc). If you include the outer boroughs, then there are a lot more schools.
Go to Princeton Review's web site. You can do a geographical search there.

Columbia is the best. Of the average schools St. Johns is probably the best.
