this is just in response to the above poster who equated being a teenager with being asian or female.

1. Statistical fact that teenagers are high risk drivers. Teenagers are in more accidents than any other age bracket.
Proven Fact.

2. Myth- Women and Asians are bad drivers. While many women and asians are bad drivers..it has nothing to do with them being a woman or being Asian. Just as many bad male drivers as there are bad female drivers....and same goes with Asians and any other race.

I'm not so much afraid of the person talking on the cell phone as I am the person trying to put make-up on in the car while driving.

1. they have to take their eyes off the road in order to look in their mirror repeatedly.

2. you can talk on the phone with out removing your eyes from the road. same goes for eating.

the worst thing I have seen from 1 person was that she was trying to put make-up on, while texting somebody, and trying to eat all at the same time.

That must be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Why would it be for teenagers, when you are phone you are just as distracted as they are. It is for everyone. This is a questions I will save for sure. Why don't you just ask if it is for Women and Asians because they can't drive either. What a dumb question!! (By they way I do not think women and Asians can't drive)

I think that is a great law. Now people wont drive 25 miles on a 55 mph road.

It is not now illegal. The law was enacted, but doesn't go into effect until January 2008.
