I'm married and am absolutely miserable. I would be much happier single (Very selfish, mean-spirited husband).
My best friend is married and miserable and has been mentioning divorce lately (Husband cheats).
My sister was recently divorced. She was miserable while married. Much happier now (Husband used drugs and wouldn't go to treatment program).
My brother is now divorced and is much happier (Wife cheated and used drugs).
My parents were married for 48 years and were absolutely miserable (Dad was physically and emotionally abusive. Never diagnosed but was probably bipolar as well.). My mom stayed miserable for so long because, as she put it, "it's the right thing to do". She died suddenly of a heart attack having not been happy for 50 years. I asked her about a year before her death, if she could do it all over again, would she - the marriage that is. Her answer was "Hell no". She was serious.
Answer to your question. I don't know any happily married couples.

I'm currently married. I'm happy. I don't think it's a matter of happier or not happier, everybody is going to be different and it depends on how good your relationship is. When you are married your happiness comes from a different place than when you're single, but a person can be happy either, both, or neither way.

I am happy now that I'm not married only because I was in a bad marriage. I would prefer to be in a happy marriage instead of being single.

No, I hate the fact that I am a widow at 52 yrs old. It's horrible not to have a choice to be without a spouse.

for me, i learned marriage was a sentence to hell. i am much happier living with my boyfriend knowing i can not get trapped into payin for his past sins, his kids, his family, his past debts, etc. my first marriage financially ruined me. i will never do that again.
