I used to assume the worst, because I figured I'd be prepared for anything and if the worst didn't happen I'd be pleasantly surprised. But then I'd go around in a foul mood waiting for bad things to happen. So then I tried assuming the best, figuring that I'd be going around in a good mood, waiting for good things to happen. But then I was constantly disappointed. So now, I just try very hard not to assume. That seems to work for me.

I used to think the worse with a certain situation. I guessed that if then deciding to put myself in this situation after thinking the worse it meant I was ready for the worse incase it was, sometimes I would put myself in the situation thinking it was going to be the worse and in actual fact it made the bad easier for me as it was a relief it was not the worse.
At the same time as saying that I suppose at times when I thourght the worst and decided not to put myself in that situation maybe I missed out on what could of actually turned out to of been memory of either good or bad, I suppose all I wanted to do was to prepare myself.
REMEMBER THIS SOMEONE IS ALWAYS WORSE OFF THAN YOU

to be honest i cant help assuming the best and adjust according to it. the reason of it is that when i act according to the best, i can feel the positive energy and this makes my day great....
actually sometimes you just want to assume the worst in order not to regret later, when u dont expect much, and when you are failed, it doesnt hurt you much because of not assuming the best
well, my assuming changes according to easy things and difficult things

I assume the best of a situation, and then adjust accordingly if needed. Going the other way would ensure a skeptical and depressiing point of view for a lifetime, and it's not worth it.

I dont assume. I just let it happen that way i wont have expectations and I wont get upset over it. Then ill adjust. If its something bad then ill keep a cool head and ill adjust. If its good, ill just smile and leave it be. Simple really ;)

I assume the worst. I don't go into glumly, but I expect the worst. That way, when it's not so bad, I'm surprised. If I expect the best, I'm usually disappointed.

As I tell people: I'm the ultimate pessimist - that's how I stay so optimistic. :-)

I assume the worst, and then get pleasantly surprised, when everything goes well. That way I'm not disappointed.

the worst and then adjust. the world idn't perfect and therefore we can always think in terms where everything is always going to be good because that is not what reality is.when you think in worse terms and then the good things appear its all ok and you are glad that they take place. you are more grateful for them.

Laws are there as guidelines. They are subject to change with time and place. Knowledgeable fine tune each minute others are made to fall in line.
