LOL, you just made me smile, we are going through this broke stage right now, we got behind due to my hubby being in the army national guard he had to leave for a few weeks to help with the floods and the army takes forever and ever to pay you and so during this time i'm freaking out stressed, going around town with a trash bag collecting cans off the street and out of the trash cans, and girl, let me tell you, you can make some money from them cans, they add up, i brought like 7 bags of cans to the recycle place and got like $75..couldn't believe it, so now even when we are not broke i still collect cans...once during church, when the collection plate was passed around instead of putting money in it i felt like taking money out, but i didn't ....i dont think i could stoop that low..lol....we cut the tubes off our toothpast as well at times, and get napkins and mustard and ketchup from fast food places....lol...funny how we've all been there....

I've been so broke I've had to live on mustard sandwiches or onion sandwiches, I've had to eat (literally) garbage to survive, I've snuck into the back of people's Boats or whatever is available to sleep without being scared.
here's a creative solution to women out there who are desperate for money...there's a couple things you can do to get a little cash in your pocket...
1. Find a "Donation Center" near you and you can donate your eggs...that's right, your female eggs so other unfortunate good women can have a baby of their own.
2. You can be a Surrogate Mother. It's a wonderful feeling to know that you've given the gift of motherhood to a woman who cannot have children.
3. You can donate your Blood at any Red Cross Center...so long as you don't do drugs or have any infectious diseases.
I know it may sound a little drastic but when your hungry or starving and just all around doing without it helps.

The only thing I can recall is not having enough money to buy food in between College Quarters during my Bachelor Degree days. I ate baked potatoes for breakfast and drank Lipton Tea. The Lipton Tea (hot) is something I keep for when I am too broke now to buy coffee. A box though will last me a very long time, but it is a habit that never died. Other times in college I recall not having enough money for food that my roommate DID have enough money for booze, like beer and Irish Whiskey - those were the worst hang overs. Drunk on an empty stomach - great parties though.

I do most of that stuff now, and I'm not poor. I knew a very rich guy once who stole paper napkins from restaurants. I hope I'm never so rich that I believe in waste. Most of what I do is clip coupons for free meals and big discounts. One time I got a coupon for Ragu Spaghetti sauce for 65 cents off, and the jar only cost 64 cents. I got paid a penny to take home a jar!

haha I'm not in debt but I never wanna be there either so it's like I'm living like I'm broke
I'm going to grad school next year but all those applications and fees will cost soo much so I'm saving all my money now. I make like 11k a year but it goes just like that with all the education, housing and car insurance things and not to mention food.
I'm not joking, I'm 20 years old, and I have done one or the other in the past 2 years:
-taken toilet paper from public restrooms
-ate ramen noodles for a week straight, EVERY meal, so I could have enough money to take my now ex-gf out
-taken silverware from my dining hall
-slept in my car for 3 days between a lag in new apartments
-sold almost all my video games for something like 5% of their total cost back
no lies..im not cheap...but i have to live cheap!!! for now...I live a sad sad life

Not in a romantic way, but I may have broken my mother's heart. When she was dying she asked me why I hated her so when I moved her too quickly and it made her cancer hurt. Plus just being me I probably broke her heart not being as smart, as social, as talented, as into the military as she was. Just being kind of overall worthless when she was so much higher a kind of human being in the brains and talent departments.

yeah I remember running out of toilet paper and waiting for my man to fo to the store and get some. But usually when I ran out I had wipes thank god.
I have had to scrounge for change to buy cigarettes before and i hated taking all that change in there.

There was a time when I ate PB & J's and Ramen Noodle, and drank only water or Kool Aid-- I was able to spend only about $40 a month on groceries, don't ask me how! I was so broke, it was scary. So glad I'm not in that position anymore.

We used to save every single napkin from fast food places, we ate popcorn for dinner sometimes, my mom used to buy a pack of tortillas and cook them different ways (warmed up tortillas with butter, fry them and put cinnamon and sugar, anything she could put together). We made it through.......
