No, I didn't care about them then, and I still don't care about them now.
In fact I'm sick of their problems, their rights, their issues, their needs, their families, their children, their religious freedom, etc.
My soldier sacrifices all of these things, as well as putting his life on the line everyday and I'm sure the Iraqi's don't give it a thought. Do you ever see them paying respect or morning the death of an American soldier who was blown to bits so their children could receive free medical care, or was shot and killed while patrolling an area so they could pick up their free food supplied by America soldiers, or burned to death in a Humvee so they could have religious freedom? It's OK I will give you some time to think about it....the answer is NO.

Yes. I did not understand Bush41 not deposing Saddam, but then calling for an uprising in Iraq that only got those opposed to Saddam brutally murdered. Then the 8 years of Clinton diddling without accomplishing anything, as well as his ignoring the cries for help from Rwanda prior to the slaughter there.
When you attack and bomb another country, you might as well do the right thing and do the thing right and eliminate the brutal murderous tyrant running it.
I spent many years ranting about the failure to have finished the job in Iraq, and Clinton's failure to have done anything at all with it, because he was afraid of soldiers coming home in body bags. So he left the problem to the next president, a shameful thing to have done.

there are far more pressing human rights issues in places like Africa, where innocent civilians by the thousands are being hacked to pieces. If people do care about human rights issues, they are either being dishonest with themselves or ar ignorant, since there is plenty of worse suffering in this world.
Human rights causes are just another convenient excuse for this splendid little war.

PNAC did for sure. They drew up their plans for middle east domination while Clinton was still in office.
