It's hard to say. If you inherited a gene that makes you more likely to deliver prematurely, you probably won't actually know until you actually go into labor. More than likely, your mother could have had either a wek cervix or a mishapen uterus or even had a hormonal problem that caused her to go into preterm labor....as a rule, those things are not considered inherited. You don't have to have the same birthing characteristics as your mom or either grandmother for that matter. Mine childrens births were totally different than my mother's and my grandmothers'. They told me all these horror stories about their pregnancies, but none of it came true for me, I had my own set of problems different from any they ever had and you will too.

My mom had 3 babies, all 3 premature. I have had 2 and both were late. I think it depends more on your body and the baby.

It's a 50-50 thing.
Depends why your were premature.
It is was anything your mother did personally, smoked, was really skinny...you get where I'm going, then no.
Anything else could be genetic.

It depends on why you were premature. Some types of pregnancy complications, like high blood pressure are hereditary. Others are not.

There is a 75% that you will and a 25% that you won't. I wish the best of luck to you and your future baby!!!
