I think he is horrible. The Bud Light jingle about unathletic sport commentator man is about him.

Wow, talk about a guy who loves to hear himself speak. I sometimes wonder if he records all the events he covers, so that he can watch when he gets home and smile at his own lovely voice.

Seriously, I think he's a knowledgeable guy, but he never learned the value of silence on a sports broadcast. The true masters - guys like Vin Scully - know that it's okay not to be speaking all the time. The game is supposed to be the centerpiece, but Costas has a habit of trying to place the spotlight on himself instead.

I prefer him on interviews, rather than sports event coverage.

I think he's very good.....in studio. I didn't really care for when he was doing play-by-play for baseball but I'd rather hear HIM call a game instead of Chris Berman.

The problem with Costas isn't that he is knowledgeable -- it's that he wants you to KNOW he's knowledgeable.

Oh and Brent Musburger is the bane of my existence and every year he ends up doing Mich vs MSU, Mich vs OSU, the Rose Bowl....or ALL 3! I can't stand that idiot's voice. When I heard him make fun of an overweight 12 year old while broadcasting the Little League World Series that said all I cared to know about him.
