Why are you on here asking questions? You should be asking your pediatrician. Call the doctor. Something seems to be wrong if his crying is not loud and he is drooling. He could not be teething at 2 months old. Also I dont understand why you are pumping a 2 month old full of motrin just to calm him down? Maybe that is the problem right there.

Hi, I have a five month old and she did that too when she was about two to three months old. We took her to the dr. and she had a slight case of colic. They gave us some medicine and she was better. Along with her colic she was also teething at about three months as well. That could be the problem. I would defiantly take your baby to the Dr. though as soon as possible because your really cant be too protective. Well, like the saying better safe than sorry. Good Luck!

To give you an answer and not an insult... You baby could be teething. Now I'm not saying he is cutting teeth that is something different. Just the feeling of his teeth starting to move is a new feeling to him. If the only thing that he has a drooling I would just keep an eye on him. Now if he starts to running a fever then I would call his Dr. I think it is a good idea to ask other parents what they think about a situation so you can get a better idea of what might be going on.

I really would get him checked out by a doctor. This is your baby and he needs an experts advice.
The length and pitch of a baby's cry does change as they get older, but if it is faint and he is unwell that you have to keep giving medicine, I would take him to a doc just to rule out anything serious.
Nothing is too small a call for a baby - I once called my doctor b/c my baby got a mosquito bite lol.

It is not right to give medicine to the baby at this age, especially just to calm him. Babies are different and if the doctor said that there are no symptoms of sickness just be greatfull that he cries. Its natural, my son cried until 3mnths after he seemed to calmed down. I used to live him with the Nany when I went to school, he could cry from the morning to evening. He cool down when he slept. If he is feeded and clean and healthy. Let him cry then. You guys have to be patient, stop giving medicine to babies becoz you dont what could be the concequences. The baby cant have teeth at this age. its to early!!

don't listen to the ignorant people up there! A baby can begin teething as early as the womb! some babies are born with teeth! give him a cold wet cloth to teeth on or those gel rings you throw in the freezer! He'll appreciate it! but do consult a pediatrician or your nurse hotline!

huh? have you tried the doctor? I know they just sometimes tell you anything or at least the ones here do! maybe he is just colic? or is he doing it when he eats? or is he not eating enough? my baby girl screamed all the time when she was born.. espeacially when i would give her her bottle. and the docs kept telling me she was just colic. but i just knew she wasnt. this went on for about 3 months.. me and my husband tried EVERY FORMULA THERE WAS!! AND SHE STILL SCREAMED! the finally my husband was in walmart just looking and he saw where they came out with a new formula called GENTLEASE! well he bought just to try... you no one last time! and she was a totally different baby! it is expensive but the ONLY ONE THAT WOULD WORK!! we were so happy. but good luck! i know how you feel. there is nothing worse than having a screaming baby and not knowing what to do to help it. you just feel so useful.. i am sorry and good luck to you!

Has a mother not bright enough to go to a Doctor as opposed to asking this question to a bunch of strangers.

it sounds like a growth spurt to me. infants often get fussy and drolly during growth spurts as well. my son went through a growth spurt around 6 weeks and it was pretty hecktick, it seemed like nothing would cheer him up. good luck with your situation:)
