Nearest grocery stores are on Trop and Jones.Smith's is in the northwest corner,Albertsons on the Southeast corner. There is a Panda Express just west of the Orleans maybe 2 blocks and a Quizno's at the corner of Trop and Decatur. If you head east there's a Wendy's KFC and McDonalds.

There is a 7-11 right next to it and an Irish pub called McMullan's with great food. There is a grocery store not too far away, but in the desert heat I don't suggest walking there. The Orleans is not in a really bad neighborhood but I do not suggest going to that 7-11 at night. There have been problems there before. And as for the fast food restaurants, they are everywhere and there are a few near by.

There is a Bank of America a few blocks down from the Orleans but no grocery store. Come to think of it: I didn't see 1 grocery store in Vegas. Prob. not one on the strip but there are a few convenient stores and restaurants everywhere.
I didn't see any fast food restaurants near the Orleans (within walking distance) BUT grab a cab to get some fast food. The cab rides are quick and cheap.
*Have Fun!*

There are a few places to eat in the Orleans, and if you exit the front and take a right and then your first right again, about three to four blocks Decatur and Dessert Inn there is a Carls Jr., and in the same strip mall there is an Albertsons. Across the street is a Vons, but is is a very short cab ride I would not suggest walking. P.S. Don't go walking aroung that area to far at night. Alot of hookers, pimps, drug dealers Be Careful!!!

Fast food yes on Tropicana. Grocery not close by the location.
Why fast food when you are at a world class resort.
That is for you
But out the parking lot and walk left or right on Trop and you can have fast food.
Grocery. You have to go a few miles east on Tropicana for a Smith's or Albertsons. For Food for less.
Try to enjoy your trip

Great Buffet at ORLEANS..
The best value buffets are not on the strip.
The strip is for tourists that don't have transportation to get off the strip, and are a captive audience for the overpriced meals. Way overpriced IMO.
Locals eat off the strip.
Try the Orleans, Silverton and Main Street Station (Downtown) for great value buffets, AND you can get 2 for 1 coupons for the buffets by oredering a book called
AMERICAN CASINO GUIDE 2007 Edition. (Author Steve Bourie) Available on Amazon, eBay etc. Coupons good until Dec '07, also good for some shows and a few casino bets.
You need to go downtown and get the FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCEfun book coupons for a Main St 2 for 1
It's well worth the cost of the book if you are going to LV for 3 or 4 days or more. LOADS of great coupons in this book.
Silverton Lunch Buffet is $9.95 and 2 for 1 in the book, amazing meal for 2 for $10 !!
Others are $15 max, but 2 for1's are in the book.
You need a car to get off the strip for Silverton or Orleans, but you can take a bus downtown for Main Street Stn.
The book is WELL worth the cost if you are there for a few days with a car. Have Fun !

Well, I want to say that it's a 5 to 10 minute walk, but up the street, there's a 7-11 and on the other side of the intersection, there's all types of stores and restaurants.
If you don't mind doing the walking, then that's the place to go. It's on Tropicana and that other street is called Decatur. There's other places there, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
