Never in a million years (oh, thats the name of a song ;-)
I live my life by music and you can always tell what mood I'm in by what I'm listening to:
Happy = up beat, often the Beatles
Sad = acoustic or slow jazz, really dark and soulful
Thoughtful = classical, possibly Mozart
Confused = electronica or what my mother would call 'that weird stuff'
One tip though, If I'm listening to meatloaf, its best to avoid me - I'm in a mood and likely to attack even a simple 'Hello'

I couldn't either. I have certain songs which I listen to when I'm in certain (negative) moods. It's a good form of release. My taste varies from Abba to The Carpenters to Simon and Garfunkel. They all sang songs with some pretty strong lyrics - Bridge over Troubled Water is one good example. A good optimistic song to listen to, on the other hand, is Move On by Abba.

Hell no without music I'd be crying all the time because my main way for getting over things is by writing poems or listening to music that goes with my feelings.

Totally agree with you. Music is a constant in my life, I listen to all types depending on how I feel.

Heres a quote from the late great Bob Marley that sums up how I feel.
"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. Hit me with music, Hit me with music now"

Yup same here Babyshambles. My Mp3 players is my american express..I don't leave home without it. I wear that more then jewelry. Laying in a quiet room listening to music is far better then watching tv to me. I like everything from Josh Groban to Nickelback except rap. I really don't like rap.

Music is my hobby, music is my way of relaxing, music makes a good night, music gets me through the bad times and music is how I earn a living, so probably not!

No I love music. Not to say if it wasn't around I wouldn't drop dead, but it is such an emotive part of life. A song can take you right back to a specific time in your life, that's pretty powerful if you ask me.

I don't think any human could survive without music. Because sometimes there are those particular songs that save us. (i know my answer sounds so corny but is pretty much the truth)
