Macs are so not easy to use. I know how to use it alright, but some parts still don't make sense to me. For a newbie, to any computer, macs are had to use, compared to Windows.

Once you do get it though, then it's easy. But for the most part, I've heard many people complain that it's too difficult to use for general computing. My aunt is an IT worker, and even she finds macs not suitable for herself. I've heard lots of friends say that they'd rather switch back to Windows, and only a few that said they liked it.

So I have to say this: The myth that OS X is very easy to use, is a complete lie. I've heard people from across the country even said this, so that makes it official.

So what do you mac users have to say?

YES! I have a mac! Why do dedicated mac users have to ask this? Whoever hasn't touched a Mac, probaly hasn't been living. I have a MacBookPro. I use it sometimes. Sheesh, just because a person doesn't like OS X, doesn't mean they haven't used it or have a Mac.

@A : Okay, you are seriously a person that I would like to punch. If you can't understand OS X, you're stupid? What kind of thing is that? I've known Mac users who have switched to Windows, and find it easier. OS X and Windows are pretty much on the same page in understandability. It's just that they operate different.

And less viruses for macs? Seriously, one day, I bet a bunch of hackers will unleash the most widespread attack on Mac users. All one day. They're just waiting for it.

@Mr. God: Thank you. Obviously there are people like him, who don't think OS X is any more easier to use than Windows. Thanks.

@Jake, I ranked you down, because I don't see how a person could get 3 thumbs up so fast and be a Mac person. I'm doubting that it just happened to be 3 extra people walking by. Sounds like multiple ranking to me.

I'm a PC user, but I've had the same experience when using Macs, the interface isn't any easier, in fact I'd say it's harder. People claim that it's more intuitive, but people who do more with their computer than put songs on their iPod and check their email intuitively use the right click. Mac, in an effort to make things harder, decided they don't want one. There are several other things, but that is my major problem with Mac interface. And when I've mentioned that, people claimed that my personal experience is a lie. "No you thought Mac was easier to use than PC!" And I won't be surprised if someone comes here and says exactly the same thing. Sounds pretty ridiculous, huh?

Some people may find Macs easier to use, though I don't put too much trust in those people's judgement. Whatever people like they should use, though Mac fans try to convert people to Macs MUCH more than PC users try to convert Mac fans.

well i switched from windows 2 mac a year ago. i'll admit, at first it took time 2 get used 2. like i found it rly annoying that wen u close a program, it does not exit it fully. but mac os is much easier to use than windows. once u learn keyboard commands it will become very easy. do u even have a mac ? imac os x works the way u want it 2. like i can drag a pic from firefox onto the desktop. and drag files right into programs. as a mac user i have to say its much easier to use than windows. anyone that cant figure out mac os should not be using a computer.

an IT "worker" is probably PC based so of course a Mac wouldn't be suitable for her. If a Mac is hard for you to use then you're probably not too bright. But if that's what it takes to keep you away from Macs then better for us....less users means less attraction for virus writers.

Ah, I loved your last sentence. I wish they'd do it and the world's smugness levels will suddenly go down.
