I would prefer a republican-initiated impeachment because it would be more effective and make the biggest statement about the importance of political ethics.

If democrats initiate impeachment, it could be seen primarily as a political power move rather than about defending the values of government and humanity. Most democrats I know see these values as important, but to initiate impeachment would be a republican act to show the party's commitment to democratic values and ethics.

Perhaps the best scenario would be that the republicans and democrats work side by side on this because it is of huge non-partisan importance rather than about political parties.

the respond is actual quite undemanding. A Democratic Congress became elected on the "promise" of impeachment of Bush & Cheney. even however, in might 2007, Bush wrote NSPD51 the place he can enact Martial regulation (which might provide him dictatorship powers, droop the subsequent election, Congress & the form) might desire to HE experience the U. S. became in a state of emergency by the two a kin or distant places attack, a organic catastrophe, or in conflict (does the imminent bombing of Iran recommend something)? in the event that they have been to have started the impeachment technique, this is been stated by countless in Congress that Bush threatened to enact NSPD51---which by the way Congress has been combating and petitioning to have the skill to study the finished rfile to understand what else is interior the invoice that became drafted and signed into regulation by Bush on my own, with out Congressional approval. in the event that they might have began to question him, and he enacted this regulation, they and we'd desire to in no way do away with him.

I think that starting impeachment proceedings is not how we want our government and news media to be spending their time. They will be gone soon enough. The Republicans won't do it, for fear they will anger their supporters. The Democrats shouldn't do it because there may be a backlash which might keep them from winning the next Presidential election. (That's what a lot of people are counting on.) Volunteer for the candidate of your choice!

I really don't care. Just get them out of office. Saying that neither the President and Vice President have never broken the law is just not true. Let's recap: most recently, the Vice President has claimed (in direct defiance of the Constitution) that he was not part of the Executive branch. That alone, is in violation of the law. Also, the President's election in 2000 wasn't actually his victory, as illegal practice won his office, and 9/11 scared America into supporting him. Get him out now.

Bush/Cheney are doing a perfect job. Anyone who would want to impeach them is an un-American imbecile. Republicans are always #1!!!

Republicans of course, but they are far too in lock step with each other to do so and it would cause their own party political damage.

It's always preferable to have ones own party come after disgraceful actions because it lends so much more credibility to the charges and it it more likely to be successful. It also signifies honesty.

I have no love for either. I don't feel impeachment at this time would be good for the nation. Though were it to happen I would like to see both involved. You would think they would do the honorable move and resign.

Either party, but if the republicans did it, it would probably pass through the Senate. Bush/ Cheney have committed so many high crimes and misdemeanors it isn't funny.

Republicans

That would make it all the more clear that the Bush administration's policies are not and never have been in the interests of the American people.

Unamerican imbecile , ----when facts, reason, and logic escape you,--- this is the best way around it,---- insult. How dare you question the government in America. If you want to question the government, move to a country that is free.
