I spent 10 days in Philly working a trade show at the horse track back in 1991. I have been all over the US (that was my only trip to the northeast though) and I have never experienced such vile, rude people anywhere! City of brotherly love- my butt! I have NEVER wanted to get out of a place that bad. What people see out of Philly fans on TV is EXACTLY how they act in person. They should all have to spend time down south so they can learn some manners! The ONLY thing I can think of positive to say about that place is that they do have some great pizza!

On what do you base this comment/question? Give me reasons why you think Philly is a lousy sport city and I shall answer you back on each comment. I myself grew up in Philly and follow our storied sports programs very closely. For you to say we are a lousy sports city first makes me ask
,"Have you ever been to Philly?" I doubt it, so more than likely you don't know what you are talking about. But as I stated before, state your arguement and then we will discuss this further.

Whats wrong with the Eagles? They were in the SB a few years back and have stayed hot in a tight NFC East since then...they won the division last year after all
If they are a lousy sports city, its because their fans are so mean....booing santa claus and all, they'll never live that down...

Philly has an inferiority complex. Sooner or later their team will fail. What's bad is that they are so close to New York City that the Philadelphia residents can hear the celebration. With all that being said, the fans still support their teams. You have to give them a ton of credit for that.

Because they have the most loyal fan base in the world. The team owners put garbage on the fields, court and rink year after year and they still pay to see their teams. There's no incentive to build a great team.
