I answered a question about abortion and can only assume that the thumbs down I received are also more than likely being reported to YA based on similar questions in the past. Why use the reporting feature to silence others?
Did I answer his question?
Am I his target audience?
So what’s the problem?
I fulfilled what YA politics is designed for, right?

Troublemaker-
Thats apart of the question when he included the word "why". Why dosen't have to have a long drawn out explination. Asking "what" is different.

thumbs up and thumbs down don't report you or remove your answer, they are simply a way for people to say if they think you gave a good answer or not (are are sometimes used if they agree or don't agree with you). Don't take a thumbs down personally, its just an opinion.
For the record you didn't really answer the question though. His question wasn't just why are conservatives against abortion, it was why are conservatives against abortion but feel it is ok to kill other people more or less.
For questions regarding abortions I don't give thumbs down just because someone doesn't agree with me. But I feel that there are ways to state your opinion in a respectful way and ways to state your opinion in a nasty way. I am pro-choice, and if someone who is pro-life says something like "you are a murderer and will burn in hell" I will give them a thumbs down. Also if the question is asking people with abortion experience what an abortion is like I will thumbs down people who answer "i don't know" or "don't have an abortion" because they didn't answer the question.

I just went and thumbs downed your answer .
You added your personal distaste for the act of abortion . Once you brought in your opinion you left out the facts and failed to answer the question .
I am opposed to abortion but only because it is the destruction of a life that is dependent for almost 6 months on its host to provide food shelter and life . After that point it can make it with the help of the community .
Just as the elderly and those with injuries need care so do developing people need care . That it is specific to one person makes it possible to charge them with murder and neglect if they fail to competently provide for the health and well being of the life growing within .

A thumbs down does not automatically report you. For that matter, reporting an answer after thumbing it down is kinda pointless, since, if it removes, your disagreement goes with it. It's much more conducive to the propagation of your position, to have an opposed answer apear with heavy disagreement registered, than to have it disapear.

In my adventure I even have had a youthful woman come to me for counseling. She defined whilst away in school, she found out that she became pregnant. She became not married and did not prefer to marry the daddy. She did noe have faith abortion to be and determination as she felt that that became a existence created interior her with the help of techniques all of us understand. She prayed for God to help her manage a newborn, and to help her manage her overbearing and overprotective parents. As a week became right into a month, she began to need she became not pregnant and prayed that the being pregnant would end itself. She miscarried. Now a twelve months later, she became nonetheless filling guilt over "prayerfully aborting" her infant. My answer to her became that a miscarriage isn't comparable to an abortion. in certainty miscarriages oftentimes effect in first pregnancies. i don't think God spoke back her prayer with a miscarriage. to respond to your question approximately miscarriages and the church -- for the duration of cases of lack of know-how, a lot of human beings non secular and non-non secular acted in methods we evaluate silly. people who proceed to be ignorant with the help of determination will nonetheless act and answer foolishly, distinctly while they discover their returned against the wall and that they have not any leg or sturdy argument to stand on.

When they ask questions, they don't usually want real answers. They want people to agree with them.
Oh yeah, and don't even worry about the thumbs up/down thing. I stopped worrying about it a long time ago when I realized people thought it meant "I agree" or "I disagree".

A lot of people ask questions because they just like to see people agree with them and not because they want an actual answer.

The so-called prolife people have no interest in your opinion.
They ask their little questions out of smugness.
