I have never heard anyone say that "FOX news is all lies." And what do you mean by "liberal stations"? FOX is not a "station"; it's a network. And how can you possibly know that the other networks "lie at the same rate" as FOX"? I assume you realize that you are admitting that FOX does in fact lie, just no more than anyone else.
Overall, I think the wording of your question reflects the same problems FOX itself has: attacking assertions not really made, imprecision of wording and arguing, etc.

Distorting the message fits their purposes. They seek for to discredit all conservatives so they twist this tale around to indicate that Fox information lies. The courtroom case had no longer something to do with whether the story became actual or no longer. From a criminal stand element attempting to coach reality is quite complicated. that's a lot much less complicated to argue that whether that's actual or no longer isn't legally suitable. The case gets pushed aside because of the fact the substantial argument of the case is beside the point. it quite is lots extra low-fee and much less time eating that dragging the finished physique of info by courtroom to incredibly actuality verify the story on the tax payers dime. it might look that the liberals might desire to stand to hire some actuality checkers of their own.

The question acknowledges that FOX news lies by saying that the liberal stations lie "at the same rate."
Your question is like saying, "Why do people say that men can sneeze, when women sneeze at the same rate?"
Why? BECAUSE MEN SNEEZE. What women do is irrelevant to that fact.
Why? BECAUSE FOX NEWS LIES. What other stations do is irrelevant to that fact.

What "liberal" stations? Yeah, I know, you're going to say all of them are. There is a difference. The people on Fox News sit there and, besides giving the news, which is horribly slanted right anyway, will make pro-Bush, anti-Clinton comments, etc. Even if you think the other news outlets are liberal, they do not editorialize throughout their news reports. There's a DVD called "Outfoxed." Borrow it from your local library and watch it. It will open your eyes about just how "fair and balanced" Fox News is, no matter what they claim.
Snoopy, you hit the nail right on the head--but doing comparisons is what Fox News does all the time. Look at the reaction to Libby's pardon, for example: instead of exploring whether it really was the right thing to do, all the right-wingers did was point out how many pardons Clinton granted. That has nothing to do with whether what Bush did was right.

Liberal MSM usually only presents a slanted one side to the story. Fox presents all sides and you decide. Most people don't know how to discern the truth from hearing all sides because they are used to being told what to think by the MSM, teachers and professors.

CBS, CNN, NBC, and ABC--are not in the same class as Fox News.
And you have to have PROOF that these stations have been lying on a 24-7 basis.
Which I don't think you CAN.

Because all they ever hear is from the liberal viewpoint.
The other networks do not try to present fair and balanced news but rather work on their own agenda. They fail the American people and the standards of true journalism when they present only the "political correct" take on politics, morality, religion etc.
On the other hand FOX gives a different take on world events and mainstream news. People hear something different from FOX and it confuses them. They think that CBS, NBC, CNN are giving accurate information when they are not. It seems FOX is out of step when really they are not conforming to the policies of the liberal networks.
This is also true in print journalism where the major newspapers repeat misinformation or leave out the context of quotes and events. You cannot depend on accurate or unbiased news from the NY Times, Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald but people think they are getting good information and misunderstand those that are trying to do a good job of journalism.
You really have to listen to talk radio, check out the web for more balanced news. Information can be found on the web that also is in disagreement with the politically correct crowd
The attitudes about FOX are only the tip of the iceberg and merely reflect that people by and large are not thinking and comparing information with reliable sources. Fortunately, FOX does make an effort to present a viewpoint different that the "drive by media.".

+No one has said Fox is all lies.
+The only definite lie I know of that Fox has perpetrated is that it is calling itself fair and balanced. There's nothing wrong with having a skewed perspective, just call it what it is. Fox is definitely to the right, so it shouldn't feel ashamed to call itself a conservative news source.

Funny, some of my pals at work get the news from the Daily Show…they can repeat the headline and sometimes they can do the punch line and facial expressions too.
This is just incredible to me….they get the news from comedy central and call Fox “faux news”.
