There seems to be a plethora of these lately. Folks who cannot concede a point if their sanity dictates it. They can't think of an argument that "defeats" the questioner, so they get personal and attack the validity of the questioner's personality.They end up making themselves appear petty and trite; so why do they bother? Is it all just "the kids are out of school now?"

I've noticed it too. It makes me want to stop coming on here to ask and answer questions.

i learned early on to never resort to name calling or belittling ANY user on here. anonimity is a a powerful tool that trolls or enemies one creates can use against one's own self.
i may take little "just kidding" jabs at those i feel i know well, but never insult someone for their opinions.
my preference overall is to poke fun of myself and pretend i'm stupider than i am.
that's the safest route.

Yes, I agree. very immature of them. I see that often in other categories. I say Live and let live. It's none of my business what other people think of me.
