My 19" LCD monitor ( 6 months old) has developed shadows to the right of text and graphics. Seems to be getting worse.Any thoughts?

Check that your cables are secured properly.
Make sure you are running at the native resolution of the panel. Probably 1280 by 1024 for a conventional monitor, 1440 by 900 for a widescreen.
Make sure the refresh rate is at 60 Hz. Any higher will not gain you anything.
If you are running on a VGA cable connection (blue connectors) then open up Notepad and fill the screen with "H" characters, then hit the Auto Setup button on your monitor.

That's called branding. There's nothing you can do about it. It will probably have a warranty. I suggest you contact the manufacturer.
