I don't have cable, and I remember tons of cartoons would come on in the afternoon for children to watch. I am now 18 years old, and why are there only afternoon cartoons on cable?? I just thought it would be nice if some kids could watch cartoons instead of having to spend a lot of time outside doing whatever it is that they/we do.

I have seen it too. I was a big fan of Looney Tunes, Ninja Turtles, even Power Rangers(I'm 25 now). Yeah, I know what you mean, it felt great to come home everyday after school(especially Fridays and the last day of school) to sit down and watch my favorite cartoons before they ended at 5 p.m.(then I watched The Simpsons!). It sucks, it really does. Bring them back, I say.

I miss the 70's and the 80's. I grew up during that time. Life was a lot easier then with TV and everything else

Sneak into his house and steal all his remotes. Chances are, he's not old enough to remember when people actually had to get up off the couch, and walk to the TV to change the channel. And if he does remember, he's probably too old and lazy to actually do it.

I miss the 80's. Like when alvin and the chipmunks would be on when I got home from school. Or carebears.

It isn't you.

The networks make more money from talk shows, news broadcasts and re-runs of sitcoms than they did when they ran cartoons.
