Yes, mine is. It depends on the season. If it's summer, it's always good to make sure you take care of your toenails by getting a pedicure every other week because I wear a lot of sandals & open toe heels. I live in Hawaii, so my toenails are painted even when I have socks or closed shoes on. I am always prepared for when I decide to change shoes for what ever reason & mainly because I like to take care of my toenails & my feet ;)

Absolutely. The gym shoes will come off. When I get home from work, the first thing I do is change to flip flops. If I have to run to the store, I can do so with pretty feet. Painted toenails make me feel good, and their calorie free.

Getting my toenails painted is more for me than anyone else. It makes me feel good to know that I'm taking care of my body, in this particular instance, my feet. So, in answer to your question, yes there is a point to it...

Not really, no. The whole point of painting your nails is so that others can see how they look. By covering your feet up, your toenails are shielded and no one can see the color.

Well yeah, you never know when you'll have to take off your shoes and you don't want your feet looking jacked up. We sometimes go to stores not expecting to buy anything and end up trying on every shoe in the store. That's why I always keep my toes polished, even when I'm wearing gym shoes.

But if you are only planing on wearing closed shoes for just a few hours and then your gonig to change into flip flops there is a point. ... I feel more feminine when my toes are painted - even if its the middle of winter, I like to have a nice pedicure.
I don't care that other people can't see them - I know they look nice. That's what matters.

yes, there is a point. You may take your shoes off later, or change shoes. Unpainted toenails are gross. Thats like my peeve #2

you can't wear open shoes ALL the time. There are going to be days wear tennis or other shoes are in order. And you are not accounting for times when the girls are barefoot around the house.

no point at all! i have a foot fetish. i'm like eddie murphy in boomerang. if a chick has jackhammer toes i can not and will not continue seeing them. that may seem shallow to some but if a woman takes excellent care of her feet what does that tell you about the rest of her body? :-)
