I am currently interested in getting either a 10 or 20 gallon tank to house several female betta fish. Can anyone recommend a website where I may find a good tank at a reasonable price? I have already checked petsmart.com and their prices are a little to high. Thanks!

You might try the classified ads in your area. Sometimes you can find a really good deal in a used tank. Just make sure to have them fill it up and make sure it doesn't leak BEFORE you buy it. Also, in my experience, I always recommend getting the biggest tank you can afford simply because the more water you have the more room you have for a small mistake. Also, you tend to always want more fish then your tank can support. Also, female bettas need a lot of hiding spots to keep them from killing each other. I would recommend at least a 20 gallon for them. Good luck!

If you are willing to be patient and watch the listings regularly, Craigslist is an excellent source. I had to watch for 2-3 months, but I finally got a 60 gallon tank with stand that was $300 new for only $80. You can often find people giving away their old aquariums for free as well.

For a cheap price on a tank in that size range I have found it's hard to beat a yard sale or the classifieds in your local paper. Remember that shipping can really run the price up if you order online.

Wal-Mart would be your best bet. They sell all different size tanks, and they sell them complete w/ hoods, lights, filters, etc. They only thing you would have to buy is the gravel, decor, and fish.

Craigslist. Generally you'll find a few on there, and they almost always come with filter et al.

Craigslist! ::smiles:: I can't say it enough.
