where was this idea originated? no matter which country we go to, there is always birthday cakes on birthdays.

how come there are not birthday ice creams or birthday chocolates? why must it be cake? whose idea was it!?

I'm not sure how serious you are but I think you already know that you don't have to have cake for your BD if you don't want it. Why don't you start something new and invent BD ice creams or chocolates? The area is wide open...a friend of mine hates cake so I made him a pie instead.

Actually, I'd always preferred ice cream cake. There's no actual cake in ice cream cake. I just like the chocolate crunchies in between the layers of ice cream.

I've always wondered that myself, actually! Why not Birthday hamburgers? Birthday pizzas? Birthday chicken? I guess it IS a conspiracy!

Honey, you can have a pot of gumbo if you want. If it's YOUR birthday, you call the shots. That's how I do it at my house. You want sushi for breakfast, that's okay too.
