If what they say is true... that if you travel close to the speed of light... that time will seem slower compared to those around you (thats not moving at light speed.) Then you can basically live 1000's of years into the future without getting too old.... But there can be no such thing as going back to the past because time is constant in one direction (forward). There will be no duplicate of you in any given time. Its just basically you ageing extremely slow. And the perception of the past is just in our minds.

"...Someone get me a looney bin, because i think ive just lost it. xD..." lol

There is a theory that if you had a worm hole ... sent one end off at the speed of light for say 10 years. Had the traveling end return to its origin. Then ... you would have a time machine that could travel back 10 years.

The end that moved at the speed of light would remain "frozen in time" while the other end aged 10 years. Thus you could enter the "stationary" end and exit the "speed of light" end 10 years earlier ... but not before the "speed of light" end left.

The only problem is that worm holes are only theoretical with-in the quantum level.

You have pretty close. While you are travelling at near near light speed you do age slowly but you are unaware of it, every thing seems to as normal, your watch seems to shows seconds as you perceived them at normal speeds. The perception of the past is in your memory and written records.

Time is a quantity that describes a process speed.Somethings are irriversible . You cannot stub your toe and get hurt and reverse the process. You hurt for some time but you cannot unhurt yourself in reversing time. You can apply relativity theory till your blue in the face, you cannot fidle with time. It always move. When you travel you are the victim of time=you cannot stop getting old.
