Every sport can be boring. Most people can't sit through nine innings of baseball. You just have to watch the last 5 minutes of a basketball game because that's the only exciting part... You ever try to watch the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns play girdiron football???

Soccer can be the same way. If the ball's stuck in the midfield for most of the game, it makes for a boring match. If there are plenty of scoring opportunities, it makes for an exciting match. It may not mean goals, but people want to see opportunities!

Right now, MLS is still struggling to create a lot of scoring opportunities per match. You sometimes see it, but it's not consistent enough. Houston's on a seven-game shutout streak. Is their defense that good, or opposing teams that bad? Anyway, hopefully Beckham and others can improve the play of MLS.

Most of the reason people get bored with soccer is because of the announcer, the way he talks and presents the game. In USA, the announcer talks in a boring manner, therefore causing the audience to be bored as well. If the announcer had more excitement when he talks during games, people wont be bored. They also need to put some exciting music, and fireworks when one scores, the way they do in Mexican TV's...heck, celebrities make songs specifically for the soccer events! Soccer is dull and hasn't worked in the US. Notice the US team gets its *** handed to them every time they play in the world Cup or any other event that involves teams from the rest of the world.
