Why shouldn't we? We have already done this before. It should be easy for the U.S. government to do this again.

We supported Saddam Hussein while he killed innocent people, but dropped him like a hot potato, because he violated an U.S. order (he invaded Kuwait). We went after him only for that reason.

I don't think we should be so anxious to leave as to resort to something like that, no.

But, if the only alternative is to leave Iraq in chaos that'd most likely end in a pro-Iranian Shiite victory in the civil war, not to mention an immediate propaganda victory for Al Qaeda...

Nah, once we leave Iraq will, eventually, naturally fracture into three countries. One will be an Islamic fundamentalist theocracy. I'm sure one of the others will eventually become a dictatorship on its own.

That's usually what happens. After we securely install our US trade friendly dictator puppet, THAT'S when we finally leave and stop the killing. Resistance is futile is most cases for people fighting against US imperialism.

It would be in everyone's best interest. The Iraqi people would be much better off. Bush & Cheney will not let up until they suck every last drop of oil out of that country. Democracy has nothing to do with it.

that is the best idea - saddam insane killed all the terrorists and there was quiet. In years, saddam never killed the amount of people who die in Iraq in a day. Right on!

I don't care what happens to that country as long as we get our troops out, get them healthy and prepared for bigger more important battles against terrorism. Osama is still alive, so we need to focus our efforts on him.
