I believe it is too mature for anyone under 14/15, but that's up to the parent. It involves sex, teen pregnancy, suicide, the want of feeling and inflicting pain... a lot of teen turmoil. I think it depends upon the maturity of the child and the willingness of the parent and child to discuss what's been viewed as well, but ultimately I think the parent must make an informed decision.

i already awnsered your question about rent, but i think spring awakening is too innapropriate. there alot in it and i dont know much about the musical. (i've never seen it live and i only have some of the music), but i still think its a little, ok, a lot too mature for a 12 year old.

I havn't seen it, but I'm obsessed with the songs and such and I would have to say yes, it's to young.

There is nudity in a love scene in it. Female frontal (breasts) and I believe male rear.
