...and if so, is it going to come up during the campaign?

One's faith is irrelevant. Also, for those that answered by saying Mormons believe these underwear are "magic", that is incorrect. The underwear are sacred items and are similar to clothing or items which people of other faiths wear, which is to remind a person of their covenants with God. I certainly wouldn't mock a Christian for wearing a cross, a Jew for wearing a kippah or using a tefillin , a Sikh for wearing a turban (used because they don't believe in cutting their hair), etc. I would hope people in America are tolerant and don't hold a man's religion against him. How he lives his life, his morals/values, and his political agenda are important.

Probably. It's not really all that secret.

Walk into any gym locker room in Utah and you get an eyeful of it.

You can go see it at the church distribution center if you're that curious.

Or I'm sure you can find pics of it on the net.

It's a t-shirt, and some long underwear.

If you think it's a big deal, then you're screwed up. Do we need to know what kind of Undies Hillary is wearing before we consider voting for her too? How about Guliani?

In fact, the next presidential debate should really have all the candidates in their underwear....then the answer will be crystal clear.

So, here is one on the other side not willing to discuss real issues but to make personal attacks. Why are you so concerned about a man's underwear?

Sicko, not only is the title of Michael Moore's movie but a description of people obcessed with John Edward's hair, or Mitt Romney's underwear.

I cant wait for this Election to start. Go Hillllary!!!!!

Reporter: Mr Romney, Boxers or Breifs?

Romney: Garmies. They are secret.

Reporter: You get your underwear at Victorias Secret?

Romney: No, They are my sacred Garments. They protect me from evil.

Reporter: How Much?

Romney: 10% of your gross income. Way too expensive.

Reporter: One of my Mormon girlfriends showed me her magic underwear and she said the church makes her wear it. She is only allowed to take it off during sports or bathing or when we have sex. She says it is magic and will protect the wearer from harm. If this is so, I think everyone in my platoon over in Iraq should be equipped with Mormon Magic Underwear to protect against the terrorists bullets. Body armor is hot and bulky. Mormon Magic Underwear is thin cotton and much lighter than body armor.

It is relevent!

Believing that one's underwear has supernatural powers and that God uses it to divinely protect them from injury, makes a statement about one's thought processes and judgement and their grip on reality.

George W. Bush has governed as an idealogue who ignores science and instead "deciderates" based on his personal religious beliefs. This has affected his view on the war in Iraq, health issues, education issues and Supreme Court appointments.

So, if Mitt Romney believes that his underwear is endowed with "divine" or "supernatural" powers, I for one am not so sure I want him to applying that same intellect to our domestic and foreign policy!

Who cares what Religious folks wear under there clothing? I would vote for Mitt Romney anytime.
I think he has a decent character, what we can't say for most of the other candidates. I feel it depends up on how each candidat is portraying him/her themselves to the public.
Nevertheless, have you ever heard that religion shouldn't matter or match with politics and governmental affairs/

Yes, the lady from CNN?

Excuse me, Mr. Governor, but, can I ask you about your underwear?

Only if I can ask about yours!

Gee, how many SERIOUS news reporters want to know about the President's underwear?

Who cares if he does, this has nothing to do with his qualification for the presidency and is dumb as people asking Clinton if he wore boxers or briefs.

I think you should be more concerned on where the candidates stand on the issues that will affect you.
