i concur and agree with your out - look out - of - life . love does hurt but on the other end of that spectrum it feels so good that its worth the price we pay to play along the way and can i " see " you today ? or not , its worth a shot , even if its hot , i got what you got , so lets share the lot .

I would argue that falling in love for most people is a less conscious choice than partaking in masochistic behavior where the thrill is derived soley on the anticipation of and receiving of pain. Conversely, falling in love is based on the hope of a form of bliss that will be everlasting and the pain is only a consequence.

No. I think we love in spite of knowing the pain it can bring. Being a guy who has had my share of heart break, I can honestly say that if possible I would not have ever fallen in love, nor would I ever fall in love again - if it was up to me. Unfortunately our feelings are something we often cannot control, especially when it comes to romantic love and attachment it tends to from time to time happen inspite of our most logical thoughts - not in accordance with them.

So since there seems to be nothing I can do, here's to hoping that someday it all works out for me (okay and everyone reading this too).

Not masochists, but idiots. Why stay with someone who causes you pain? There is nothing noble about letting people get away with the crap they put on you.
Find someone who will love you completely.

If you are experiencing pain, you are not experiencing love.

Love is unconditional.

When you love something or someone unconditionally, nothing that person does or does not do can cause you pain, as you have no expectations or neediness in unconditional love.

On the other hand, if you are experiencing emotional pain in a love relationship, you should recognize that this is not love that you are feeling.

This type of emotional pain is simply your ego not getting its needs met. The pain is proof that you did not enter into this relationship unconditionally. That there are, indeed, conditions for which you will love or not love this person, and what you are feeling is not about your love for them, but about your wanting them to be something for you.

Obviously, physical pain caused by abuse should also not be construed as love and one should remove themselves immediately from any such situation.

No. I think we all have an intuitive sense of how good things can be and chase after that, not keep chasing after the pain of bad relationships... Sure, we keep chasing, because we're seeking that relationship that will allow us to stop seeking and just enjoy the relationship we all envision could be.

No, it's important to love, even if it's painful. You always learn from this pain, you learn to trust and to accept someone else's differences and his / her whole being.

Falling in love is like drinking with a straw.

If it hurts you're doing it wrong.

No,love is one of the strongest emotions.Usually, the pain comes when love is one sided.Because,if you really love someone, why on earth wouldn't you do everything in your power"not" to hurt them?
