My best friend gets called an "Oreo" all the time, meaning she is black but "acts" white. This frustrates her and she always complains she's the only one who has this problem.

I've been called and still get called Oreo. Please tell your friend to keep doing her thing, and next time someone calls her 'Oreo' just tell her to say "That's why it's America's Favorite Cookie!" That shuts them up real quick!

OK I am an Irish lady that lives in Louisiana. So can you think of some of the things I have been called? look small minded (or little brains as I like to call them) People will always have some kind of stupid stuff to say. My friend is white but she acts black and the black girls around here call her a almond Joy. You know black on the outside, white in the middle and a nut under that. Just tell your friend to be herself. If no one else likes it tough.

I get called that... Because I am 21, lost my virginity at 20, in school and working full time, and dont have 5 kids by 4 different baby daddy's living off the system. People have disgusting definitions for what it means to be black. And most often it is black people who present this shi*... Blacks who think that being black means being degraded, uneducated, with many children, living on welfare and section 8 housing. They think that only whites go to college, save themselves and have career goals and dreams. Its disgusting... I experience it too, and whats worse, my fiance is white so they REALLY call me oreo now but fcuk it. I'm happy, not living on the system, collecting welfare, ebt, and section 8, happy having goals and dreams, I'm happy knowing that I want better for my children than whatever the tax payers can offer.

I have been called this by my sister and my cousin, because I "act" white. By acting white i don't watch too much B.E.T., listen to punk/rock bands, and hang out with a lot of white people. I have also been called this by my white friend who said she and another friend of ours were "uh-oh oreos"

I have been called that by some stupid black men, just because I date white men. Why does dating someone of the opposite race concern them in the first place? Because these black men are COMPLETE strangers!

Its rude.....and how do you "act" white or black. I do not put up with that crap b.c. I have black friends white friends etc and we are all friends with the same intrests all collgege educated etc...next time someone tells her that she should tell them to grow up and find some one else ask dumb*ss questions

actually- I've been called n-gga by a number of black friends (and still do sometimes)... and I don't act black. Guess they just didn't notice, huh? Wish everyone didn't notice skin color- we'd get so much more accomplished as a species.

I have. The black peer police operate like a big religious cult, using 4th grade name-calling tactics to keep members in line. The important thing is she can't let them manipulate her.
