Well considering that only in the last 100 years or so that women have been given basic rights such as voting, owning property, and being able to actually have a job and make a living, it would be a little hard.

Unfortunately, it's a man's world. Things are getting more equal, but we still have a ways to go. With Hillary Clinton in the running for president, it's like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. If she can get this far, even if she turns out not being the Democratic candidate, the possibility of a woman president is still getting closer.

Who says all the important people are men?
We are all children of God, right?
Think of the Virgin Mary - wasn't she important?
How about Mother Teresa?
What about Harriet Tubman? Betsy Ross? Susan B. Anthony? Janis Joplin? Grandma Moses? Betty Crocker? Sacajawea? Pocahontas? Cleopatra? If you can't think of any important women, you aren't thinking hrd enough.

In Jesus' day, the power structure favored men. Please note that Jesus actually talked to women, which was very revolutionary in that time.
There are lots of important women today, and the percentage of people in power who are women will continue to increase.
