Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama have all agreed to appear at the first ever gay debate. The whole debate will only be for gay issues, like gay marriage and things like that. They're calling it the first ever all-musical presidential debate."

What you think?

wait, I thought the liberals were for equality for everyone...isn't that discriminatory towards straight people?

I don't care if you are gay and live together, but what is the point of marriage?

Marriage is usually put in place so a man and a woman can raise a child properly.

As someone with a smart-aleck sense of humor, I find the comment amusing. However, some things really should not be said on a national level. The "all-musical" comment is definitely one of those things that makes for a great night with friends at a coffee shop... but shouldn't be said amongst the general public. That being said... I've always been a supporter of same-sex marriage (to be P.C.). It is a human rights issue. I'm going to quote the founding fathers on this one: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal..." If we as a nation were founded on this principle, we need to uphold it for homosexuals, bisexuals, and transgendered individuals just the same as we upheld it for African-Americans during the Civil War and women during the time of Cady Stanton and Susan Anthony. Not to mention (before the people more conservative in beliefs than I am jump down my throat) the simple facts are that: A) married people pay more taxes- can we say "paid taxes help decrease the national debt" B) the children of same-sex couples deserve the same protections and rights that children of different-sex couples have. It isn't fair to the children to strip away their security and protection just because their parents are in a same-sex relationship. I personally care more about getting protection for the kids than anything else in the whole bloody debate. Plus this whole thing should be a media circus- and who doesn't enjoy watching those? Some funny stuff goes down at these things, and this one should be more entertaining than most because of the topic. Not to mention the whole clash of the titans (think GBLT and their supporters vs. Conservative Politicians). It's going to be an interesting aftermath- someone should sell tickets!

I don't have a problem with it as long as they give equal time to the anti-illegals as to why they have betrayed the USA and refuse to secure our borders.

I would be interested in hearing about their NAFTA agenda.

I would also like to know what gives them the right to spend the money of the citizens of the US for causes that are both discriminating and without purpose for the US citizens. Aiding and abetting an illegal alien is treason in a time of war.

These people should be held accountable for every wasted penny they're spending. Every race - including whites and legal Hispanics - is being discriminated against. Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are being threatened.

So let them tell the gays whatever lies they want to. What difference does it make.

If all the other candidates ran away & hid, they found the debate where they don't have to worry about the crowd of non-serious candidates.
