I am half Lebanese and an American. Lebanon is a small country, land wise. It's the muslims that are fighting, different sects. They are fighting the Palestinians, that's my understanding anyway. The problems in the Middle East are complicated, made more so by outside interference (the British, the French, the Americans, etc.).

No, it's not typical of Lebanese, it's typical of humans. Think about Europe for several hundred years until 1945. War after war.

well, infighting is something that is so common to the middle east, not just Lebanon. Lebanon is a democracy, therefore,conflict is more apparent. If you look at Syria and Jordan, for example, they are oppressive and but for the strong government, infighting will take place there. Therefore, conflict is nothing new to lebanon, nor is it to the middle east, nor is fighting unique to lebanon, it's just part of a larger problem that has been occuring for ages!!!
