Though he left the blood sport, J.C. Watts by far is a quality family person who lives life by the values he discusses. That he was seemingly used for PR purposes by the national Republican Party is a shame....he should be on the Republican ticket in 2008 as the V-P to the presidential nominee.

I don't think I have or would use a politician for a role model. Though if I had to it would be Obama.

Dick Cheney, because he shows us that it is possible to disregard principle, law and the constitution in the interest of profits for a corporation he can claim he has no connection with despite a 64,000,000 stock option deal and decades of involvement.

I think we ought to dump this silly democracy thing and appoint him the Grand HookyPooky... billions need to be spent on medical research, even if it means harvesting the organs of unborn infants so that he can live forever as our enlightened ruler.

When finally his soft, baggy body wears out, his brain should be encased in an impervious crystal sphere and orbited around the earth, broadcasting his message of love and optimism to us, his lowly subjects.

I'm perfectly serious about this. I have come to worship him.

Jimmy Carter
>NobelPrize for his Mideast peace efforts
>preventing armed conflict in Haiti
>policies (gutted by the Reagan administration) that had us on the way to energy independance.
>decades-and continuing-international humanitarian work
>Habitat for Humanity

Just to name a few of his contributions. If the fake "Christians" on the religious right want to know wat a REAL Christian is--they should try learning from Carter's example.
