It is a comon problem for a lot of people. Getting into a chat just to find out that the person you are chatting with is a total fake. That is the nature of the net. I t can be really frustrating to say the least and if you are not careful, it can be out right dangerous!

One result now is that nobody really trusts tat the person they are chatting with is real!

If there is enough interest, I will attempt to provide a place for people who have verified to me that they are real to find others who have done the same. In fact, I have made a small start on this in my forums but I really don't know if there is enough interest to continue the project.

sounds good -- id say let yourself be heard more, just like you're doing now so people can learn more about what you're trying to offer.

i also dislike fake people online. it shouldn't be one-sided. good luck with your project.. i support :)

I agree, the internet has spawned a new breed of phonies. It now seems to be inherent to the interent and what they refer to as virtual reality is not real at all. Another problem I feel is quite prevalent is, there are alot of guys, (mostly young immature brats), who somehow get their jollies by masquerading as females on sites like this one. I find it extremely difficult to believe so many people are so totally naive or that uninformed to ask some of the most ridiculous questions I've seen on Yahoo Answers. Whats even worst we don't know for sure how old they are, they could be 10 or 11 yrs old. I snatched those ages out of the air because I can remember how curious I was at 10 y/o. However, when I was about 12 there wasn't very much I didn't know about sexuality.
I can't beleive a 13 y/o is so uninformed as some I've seen asking question on this site.

Interesting, so what exactly do yo want to know? Seems like for places where you have the right to stay anonymous, there will always be what you mentioned. People are on the net for alot of different reasons, some only to prank others for fun and games.
I still feel that the pen pals was and could still be one of the ways to tell when there is strong interest as far as am concerned. I have not had much issues with the fakes other than the usual email typos' spams and the like.
There is sites that are legit out there. You seem to have a desire to start one too. Hey build it and we will come!.

Hey there, your not alone TRUST me on that I agree with you wholeheartedly! there are far to many fake people out there as to also say As they call them CHAT BOTS, they are the worst! I think that if you get enough people out there I would be one of them to join you! yahoo use to be, I repeat USE TO BE a good place to chat, mainly in the yahoo chat rooms, but not any more not since they have taken away the user chat rooms because of that one incident they had a while back! Now its just gone to pot!

No offense, but this is a question and answer forum. If you do not have a question, then you are in the wrong place. You're lucky if no one reports you, because you are in violation of the community guidelines.

you dont have to get on the internet to find fake people, they are all over the place. like people who claim to be what they never were. or people who say they did things but you find later they never did. or people that sound like an expert, but you find out they go by the saying if you cant dazzle them with your brilliance baffle them with your bullshit.
