Remember that "log2" means "logarithm, base 2". The base is just what is being exponentiated.

So, you are trying to solve "Two to what power equals sixty-four?", or
2^x = 64

If you multiply a bunch of factors of 2, you'll find that
2^6 = 64

So, log2(64) = 6
