It is awesome. One of my favorite rides. The drop that is visible from the walkways in Asia is the largest drop, and it is only about 80 feet, not 200. The entire mountain itself is just under 200 feet, because anything higher than that has to be marked for air traffic, and Disney didn't want those lights messing up their theming!!! You will be quite high up at times, including at a certain part where it appears the track 'ends', and you can see pretty far.. the views are amazing.
It is a very smooth roller coaster, and the theming of the queue and the roller coaster are impeccable. There is the one large drop, as well as a part of the ride where the cars go backwards for a bit. The backwards part is pretty high speed, it does NOT go upside down, and it's quite dark while you're going backwards. I have ridden with numerous people who get motion and travel sickness, and none of them have ever had problems on this ride (including a family member who gets sick in the car after like an hour).
The yeti only appears for a few seconds, but for good reason.... Expedition: Everest is an escape from the yeti. You're on an Expedition on Mt. Everest, and the yeti protects the mountain. The yeti doesn't want you there, and he makes that known in different ways through the ride. Towards the end, when you see the yeti, you zoom by him (he's not planning on letting you get by him, though!!!), thank GOODNESS because you don't want him to catch you!! You want to get away from him!!
Immerse yourself in the story, and it's better. Disney doesn't make 'roller coasters' or 'rides', they make 'attractions'. The attention do detail is ridiculous. Also, the yeti is the largest audio animatronic every produced, and weighs in at about two and half TONS.
The scariest part for most people is either the backwards part or the drop. The backwards part is not as bad as a loop or a corkscrew, and the drop is only 80 feet. Splash Mountain has a 52 foot drop, but to me seems longer. Honestly, even if you are a little scared of it, you should try it once. It is a short ride, about half of your time is spent either at a standstill or climbing. Go for it!!

The only Expedition Everest attraction is located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando (Lake Buena Vista), Florida. So, the answer to your question is, "yes."

Expedition Everest is the tallest mountain in Florida. You can see the thing for a few miles around.
Yes, I loved the ride. The turns were high-banked, fast, but not barfy. The time it took for the track to switch behind us to go backwards and then the time for the track to switch to go forwards again took a little longer than I expected. You only get a very brief glimpse of the Yetti.

great ride, and I don't like roller coasters really, the way I was ok to get on it, is I went to youtube and found a video of someone taping it while ridding it, and it didn't look that bad. If you can go on Splash Mountain in Disney you'll be fine, it does go backwards though, the ride is about 2 1/2 min long...check out a video it will help. My motto is: if it doesn't have a should harness, it's probably not that scary :)

Expidition Everest in a completely different ride, you start out going forward until the tracks run out. Then the ride take you backward, rapidly. I was terrified but the kids (teens and preteens) loved it.

OMg that is like the best ride there. I went there with my school and it goes about 200 feet up and then you go through this dark part and then you go out and then it looks like the track breaks and then you start to go backwards and it feels like you are going upside down but you are just going really fast. and then there is like a huge drop but it is like really fun i am 12 so it's not really that scarry but my friend was like really scared and when the ride was over she was like when are we doing the drop and i was like we did that like 30 seconds ago. Another ride i would suggest would be dinosaur if you are planning on going. But i would totally reccomend it.

It was pretty good. I was a little disappointed with it. I think they could have done more with the ride. but its still pretty good.
