The Dems are two faced when it comes to money. OK for me to raise it from corporate America, but if Republicans do it they are "evil". Hypocrisy.

Just look at the number of donors Obama has vs. the number of donors Giuliani has, for example. The Republican nominees do not excite their base, particularly after the disasterous reign of Bush the Second. The Democratic presidential nominees are not only simply better nominees, but they're an alternative to the Republican damage done over Bush's term. Thus they get more individual donors and thus more total money.

In order to be competitive in the political arena these days, one must have HUGE sums of money at one's diposal. That is true of both parties. Democrats are just better at raising it than Republicans...

Everybody likes to back a winning horse so this time around the perception must be the Dems will win, the money flows in that direction as a result

Pure and simple backlash. There will be cheering in the streets when bush leaves office. It may take a lifetime to correct all of the damage done by bush jr.

Because hypocrisy knows no affiliation and the only way to run for office now is to have corporate sponsorship. Its like Nascar, but without the beer.

Both parties are based on money and greed. The Democrats focus on taking money from others to re-disperse it to others (after they waste 60% on governemnt burocrasies run by their cronies). The GOP is based on keeping their money safe and using the money from the middle class to fund their cronies.
