It would, hopefully, blend the better elements of both but would probably lean a bit right.

It wouldn't really matter.
The financial and political interests of the 2 major parties have far too much invested and are too deeply entrenched in positions of power to allow a 3rd party to ever develop or hold power.
Kinda like Mexico, except 2 official parties instead of one.

I would believe that it would definitely be fiscally conservative (since neither the Republicans or Democrats are fiscally conservative). I could see it being more socially liberal.
The libertarians are an example of such a party. Less government spending, programs, and interference means more personal freedom. With more personal freedom comes more personal responsibility. I would strongly consider any candidate that had these views.

There are plenty of 3rd parties, the problem is no 3rd party will ever win a major election. Or can you tell me when the last 3rd party did win a major election besides the "Whigs" or Federalist party.

probably both, just look at the Libertarian party; it has elements of both Democrat and Republican platforms.
a good 3rd party would have all the positive elements and none of the negative elements of the Democratic and Republican parties

It would be neither and fairly in between Republican and Democrat. This is why we have an Independent Party, though they never really win out in elections and poles and you hardly ever hear about them.

Probably moderate. It would have to combine elements of each to be truly viable.

I would hope it would be those people who are in between lib and con. To be serious though, it would be ultra lib. Liberals (dont get me wrong here, i am lib myself) are still not liberal enough for some. But concervatives are still pretty far on the spectrum (then again I am lib so I see it that way from way over here :)

Liberal. It is the last move before a country becomes a despotic regime. The liberals/Leftists want complete government control to "equalize society" which is how they rise to power, on the backs of the ignorant who will vote themselves favors over the good of the Nation.

I think it wil be mixed. I wish more people would see that its not ALWAYS best to take a left or right stance. Different situations call for different approaches. It doubtedly will ever happen.
