How do you swim on your period if you can't use tampons?

I'm on the drill team and we swim on weekday mornings from 7 to 8. But when im on my period i can't swim because i can't use tampons. my instructor is getting frusterated with me. what should i do?

It's not that i don't want to use tampons it's that when i try to use them i end up in the bathroom crying for hours. I wish my mom could help me but she won't. what should i do?

If your instructor is a woman, and you trust her, tell her your situation, and she will understand. If she doesnt, try compromising so that you can participate after you are finished. : )

PS--- wow, your instructor is a cold-hearted pole. Do you cry becasue it hurts? If it does try relaxing yor musulces ( can t spell ) or insert it at an angle.

You are going to have to suck it up and USE tampons! You are going to have situations like this for your whole life it you continue to not use tampons. So use tampons. If you don't, then you will have to tell your instructor that you are having your period. You can not swim if you dont wear one. Blood will be all over our bathing suit and running down your leg. I know! It sucks and that tampons are scary at first lol. But you just need some practise!

unless you wear a tampon, you don't swim.
Is it your parents that say you can't? Try talking to them... they should be understanding. Give a try
Does your instructor know your problem with not being able to use tampons?

WHY "can't" you use tampons?

Are you allergic?

There are other alternatives.

Like a moon cup or diva cup (google it).

You either use a tampon/cup or you do not swim.
