Variety is the spice of life right??? Who would want someone identical to themsleves! Life would be pretty boring if all I had to look at each day was my silly mug in the mirror! Instead I happily get to look at the wonder that is "my" handsome man!

I think it is genetic and goes way, way back to caveman days. The men had to be solitary, and go out and hunt, and keep quiet so they didn't get eaten, and yadda. The women had to stay home in the cave and keep the kids from wandering off and being eaten, keep the fire going, keep predators out of the cave, work in shifts with other women so when the men came home (hopefully with some food) they would be able to listen to them whine about what a bad day they had had. This is the main reason why women can multi-task and men are like donkeys. It was mother nature's way of conditioning us for survival.

Maybe because they won't take time to relate to women, they see it as weak. So they're macho all the time and anything emotional is considered a sign of weakness.
Women on the other hand are all emotional, we think with our hearts and not our heads. Thus the difference. So there is this great divide between the sexes. Although, my take on it, seek someone who is in the same astrological sign as yourself and see the possibilities of sameness :-)

The book title refers to the different way men and women communicate/think. Its as though we're from different planets.
For quick example from the book, guys don't like to talk about their problems (they like to work them out on their own), and when they do, they only talk about them to decipher a solution. Women (very generally)talk about their problems because they want you to listen, sympathize with them, and tell them you're sorry they had a bad day.

It's just a way of saying that Nature wired men and women differently...both are how they are supposed to be, many just need to take more time to understand and accept that.

Cuz the male sign (circle with the arrow) is also the symbol of the planet mars, and the female sign (the cirlcle with the cross) is also the symbol of the planet venus...
