Hi, my neighbour hired me to cut her grass every week for $20 a cutt. I had done it for the past 8 weeks without no complaints. I did it twice in the past two weeks and she is yet to pay me. When my dad asked she said it wasnt cut properly, and that there is still uncut grass around. When me and my mom went to look the only uncut area was by the curb and I could't do that without a trimmer. She hasnt paid me back, my mom though told her we want the money. She has joked around about sending this case to Judge Judy and has even taken some pictures. But they really do feel that I should get the money for the two times I cut it? So what should I do? Thanks

SAy you want your money and if she doesnt give it to you then tell her that she is rude and that you will make it so that she never has her lawn cut by anyone again and if that doesnt work than just do something to her house of lawnmower like break it lol its payback time jk but really who brings court cases on the jusge judy show only stupid people with no life like your neighbor

If you didn't cut the grass by the curb the other times, ask her straight out why she is withholding payment now. She HAS to be joking about court as she hasn't paid for services rendered.

Sounds like your getting ripped off. You have 2 choices: ask her what does she want you to do before she pays you and try to make her happy or stop mowing her grass and take it as a lesson learned. I would tell anyone else who started mowing her grass that she didnt pay you.

well i think that both u and u neighbor should compromise... u need to tell her that u want the money .. but since u sorta didnt do a good job .. she should pay you 20 for every time u cut her grass and 10 for that time when you didnt finish the grass. you should try to talk to her and see if there is a away to settle it.

you demand for the money. she should be thankful she even has someone cutting her grass. she has some problems and if you really want to you can report this to the cops. just keep being on her case about it and she will deff pay up. i mean i dont know who has the nerve to take away somebodys money. thats just messed up..

your neighbor isn't going to pay you..So let her cut the grass. And make it a point to tell anyone you see cutting her grass from now on, what she did to you.. Word will get around and no one will cut her grass for her .

I think she might feel ripped off for such a frequent mowing of the lawn, I only mow my lawn once every two to three weeks, once a week is just a money grab in her eyes.
Perhaps you should work out a fix schedule of service and payment that is agreeable to both you and her. plus if you agree to mow someones lawn, then it should be somewhat professional... since they are paying for it.

as for your payments, perhaps you could work it out with her with a compromise.

Get a trimmer and do around the curb then demand payment

Yes, you should get paid...but remember she is your neighbor and you are going to have to see her every day. I wouldn't DEMAND you get paid like others that have posted here. What you should do is calmly explain that you need to get paid for your services otherwise you will not continue to assist her. I do like the bill idea - it is good to get things in writing.

Good luck.

If she doesnt pay you I wouldnt mow her grass anymore. I would try to insist on her paying me but theres not a whole lot more you can do about it.
