r^2 -5r + 6 = (r-2)(r-3)

r^2 - 4 = (r-2)(r+2)

Cancel the (r-2)'s from the top and bottom.

Answer: (r-3)/(r+2)

Lots of ways to answer it.. but i'll give you the simplest. you're still doing long division on the problem. R^^2 -5R+6 inside the radical and R^^2 -4 outside.

simplest answer is 1 - [ (5R+2)/R^^2 - 4)]

but dont' know if thats the form you want it in.. you do have a remainder.

r Squared - 5r +6
