I don't use bleach. Still, they all get clean, right?

Sure. I have two kids and a husband. In any given load of laundry at THIS house, you'll find a wide variety of things.... Tee shirts, one blue sock, three brown ones, a beach towel, a table cloth, and one mitten.....as long as it gets clean.

Why not?
What is the problem?
Its just fabric. I wash clothes of similar weight and color together. As long as the dish towels are not filthy, I don't see a problem.
