Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest cricketer ever. No doubt about that at all. It's not all about average. Average matters but it's not everything. The sportsmanship which he exhibits is way above all those little things. The man can bowl off spin, leg spin, cutter,in swing, outswing ,straighter one. Never drops catches & can bat like no one else. No sportsman on this planet has ever played under more pressure than this unbelievable guy. That is why i say that he is THE CRICKET GOD. It's not about records. I am sure that Ponting will brake his test centuries record but he will never be able to get closer to the batting maestro.

The Don - he did make 300 in a day in a test and has by far the best average over anyone against proper test playing nations - in a day when they didn't have big, light bats with a large sweet spot as they do today.

However the player I would most liked to have watch in his peak - the Master Blaster - Viv Richards - the arrogant swagger, no helmet, fastest hundred in a test - great test player.
