got a chain and sprocket kit for my divi, but i need to replace the nut that is on the front sprocket spindle. it has worn down. what is this piece called ( is it a nut) and where the F can i get one from.

Go back to the shop that sold you the kit - they should sort you out. Your description is also to fuzzy to be of much use in assisting in your proplem you might as well have said - thingmebob !

Drive sprocket securing nut, also lock washer. Yamaha dealers should have them.
Note the nut is a special type that is machined at the back to clear the splines, so any old nut will not do.

Will look to see if we still have a parts microfiche for this machine and get you the part numbers tommorrow, but don't hold your breath, we do Honda's now and had a huge clearout about 12 months back.

Still have the fiche. Yamaha part numbers as follows:

90215 23265 - Washer, Lock.
90179 18552 - Nut.

You will also need a tab washer.

Go to a Yamaha dealer, they have exploded diagrams of the machines, so you can point to what you want.

I always have this sort of problem with my car. Just go into the accessories shop and talk to them. Most people have a little sympathy for mechanical ejits. They will proberbly suck their teeth a litt e but what the hell you want your bike fixed
