HIV is at a remarkable number in India and for some reason people in India are still so conservative about teaching their youth about sex education and sexual responsibility. Considering India is the land of the kama sutra, and when u see all that is being shown in Bollywood movies, when will people realize that its hypocritical not to emphasize the importance of sex education when its such an apparent part of our culture?

This HIV is not just happening to prostitutes or "other" people's children, its happening to their own as well...Are these people who are opposing it in denial about whats really going on in India right now?
Parents are clueless as to what their kids are doing, there is such a lack of communication between parents and kids regarding this subject and i think it makes kids more vulnerable to making the wrong decisions when it comes to sex. How do we deal with this situation when we as a culture continue to have this double standard mentality?

I disagree with you Vijay, I am not talking about small children less than 14 years of age & parents may knw who their children are going out with lekin they dont know always where they are going, they lie all the time to their parents about going to shadi's or staying at friends homes when infact they are at clubs or with their bf /gf having sex in their cars. This is not just happening in an illiterate class, this is happening to everyone who is not taking the threat of HIV seriously. Parents need to take responsibility to have better communication with their kids and stop having this backward mentality of denial. Have you seen the kinds of questions people post here? Sorry but people who have net access r not those "illiterates" u were talking about & are lacking basic sex education. I personally think in the kind of culture we live in, Bollywood would be the most effective way to communicate to the masses in India about the seriousness of this issue. "phir milenge" was 1 movie.

The real issue here is what should be the extend of sex education for children. As far school co-curriculum is concerned if you see that education upto standard 10 in all schools in India in the science subject the children are being introduced to the sexual organs of both male & female & reproductive system in human. They are also told about the population growth & methods used for its control. Now coming to any further sex education with regards to dreadful diseases like HIV related Aides is concerned are also told to them in chapter regarding diseases & infections in Humans. With all these already a part of their educational syllabus what further education that can be giving is to specifically telling them not to indulge in unsafe sex with any unknown person or take all precautions while indulging in sex with any one or avoid sex with paid sex workers to avoid any disease. Well after what ever they learn in their biology class do they be told about all this specifically? No parent is clueless what his or her child is doing as what ever child does at home specially checking net the parents are very clever keeping an eye open & rechecking the website visited by the child. As far where the child goes & plays with who is also known to parents. The school activities are always told to the parents during the PTA meetings. All educated parents keep a check on their children in India, its only the illiterate parents who find it difficult to keep in touch with their children progress for which what is needed Adult education program along with sex educate to the illiterate strata of the Indian society. The most cases of Aides found in India are in the lower category of sex workers & people who are illiterate & belonging to lower class of workmen like truck drivers etc.The educated & well to do classes are already aware of the threats like Aides etc & they keep abbey from such diseases & people suffering form these as far sex relationship is concerned. There is no question of being double mentality standard the real question is proper education which we lack in India that not all the privileged get but many larges group still illiterate get entangled in such complications like Aides & other related diseases.

precisely!!!! you're correct, intercourse edu is a might desire to in coming up countries like India. I do settle for that all human beings is conserved right here however the increasing nos. of AIDS and different sexual suitable ailments is likewise on hearth. mum and dad might desire to understand that sure intercourse edu will diverge the strategies-set of their toddlers and could stress them to get interested in the choice intercourse, which they in any case will, is extra useful if their toddlers have sufficient know-how approximately what they're upto. The increasing fee of being pregnant drops in India is a significant project that's all with the aid of loss of concepts to the toddlers. It became in information until now that no. of young ones doing intercourse in additional advantageous countries use rubber. Now it is all because of the edu device. they're attentive to the unwell outcomes of no longer making use of the rubber and whilst u ask an indian to apply rubber, his respond would be " Chod yaar aese he mza aata hai". What do u call is this. it is carelessness and shortage of concepts approximately AIDS and the different ailments linked with it. So now may be the time to return out of the reserve nature and vote for intercourse edu for our toddlers.
