I reckon the bubble has got to burst within the decade. What with merger after merger of billion dollar companies, soaring debts and stupidly high trade deficits against the emerging China and India, it's got to twenty years tops before the £/ $ / € etc all become pretty useless.

So how are you guys preparing?

I already have a small place set up in my home state of Texas. There is plenty of fishing, wildlife, trees, and great spots to plant a garden. I will survive it.

i think of that looking ammo and weapons is all well worth whilst. in the united kingdom, so, ill purely grab my machete. yet, perhaps a pair of weaponry suffice, to not recover from excited. foodstuff, confident, outfits and so on, additionally.... those issues that make us 'civilised' lol, dont ignore the importance of stocking up on plenty and lots of toothpaste, toothbrushes, facialm wash and razors. A sustainable plot of land for growing to be clean fruit is needed. tinned foodstuff on my own is a sprint too risky. Make plans to fulfill which includes pals and kin. sustaianable water supply. google it. All thsi stated, i'm unlikely to organise something till after this september. it could not eb an entire meltdown, yet products ought to get scarce and understand is attentive to? we've had it too, too elementary in the west.

I'm trading in the stock market. Have to watch out the signs carefully and get out before the big crash. Then i'll return, keep trading a few more years and retire to a farm if the **** hits the fan.

I'm not sure that it will ever happen because there are safeguards in place to prevent the total collapse of the economy. I am trying to be more frugal with my resources and intend to be debt free within 5 years.

No bubble will be bursting in California real estate dude! Were adding 70 million people to the state in the next 22 years. What is a million dollar house today will be a 2-3 million dollar house in 2017, not to mention 2029. It will always be a Buy Buy Buy market in sunny CA!

There's no way that these currencies will fail. Besides, China and India are almost totally dependant on them, so they would not (by way of the invisible hand (read a book)) be able to surpass the 3 major currencies you mentioned.

Well, I plan on moving to Canada nothing bad happens up there. Most of the rest of you should build fallout shelters and stock up on food...oh and watch a Blast from the past.
