Because it might raise their taxes.
And they are never for the benefit of common people.
Of course they all follow Jesus, and he would give away 100% of everything he earned.
Hypocrites.

I'm against Socialized health care, where I have to pay for services I may or may not use, be put on waiting lists when I want to use them, and convince the government that I should be granted their use.
I also don't want the same quality of service that I get at the DMV, post office, etc.
Having health care is another driving factor in our push to convert our economy to a more-educated, skilled work force. America's economy has been shifting towards a more service-oriented one. Gone are the days that you could get a job in manufacturing out of high school, enjoy excellent benefits, and earn enough to buy a house and raise a family. In today's workplace, education is king. The uneducated get stuck with poor-paying jobs with little or no benefits. If you want to make more money, invest in an education.
If you want free healthcare, go to a country with socialized healthcare. In the meantime, quit forcing hard-working Americans to bear the burden of your poor choices.

Well thankfully, the uninsured rate isn't as high now, as it was under Clinton.
Clinton set the all time high record of uninsured Americans in 1998, when 16.3% of americans did not have health insurance.
Libs don't ever wanna admit it,
But the largest increase in uninsured Americans in our history, occured under Clinton.
When the percentage of uninsured Americans went from 13.9% under Bush Sr. way up to a whopping 16.3% under Clinton.
Luckily its back down to around 15% now that Bush is president.
Don't believe me, go look at the census data at www.census.gov

It takes the government over six months to issue a passport. Why would you want something that inefficient dealing with your health, or everyone's health for that matter?
People just dont understand how good America's medicine is, and thats because it is managed in the private sector.
Follow this line of logic regarding population growth and capitalism: more people is more sick people is more hospitals is more insurance companies is MORE CHOICE is more competition is cheaper costs for better services (benefits.)
We have drug companies creating new medicines in attempt to heal better than their competitors, introduce socialized medicine and you have the bare minimum working for the government.

I hope they have health care, but I don't want it to be socialized. Get it? Work for it. Don't expect america to foot the bill for the lazy.

1. NO ONE is denied health care in the USA.
2. Nothing is free
3. Most Conservatives oppose socialized medicine because it is antithetical to human Liberty and we firmly believe that it will indeed harm people; moreso than the current system.
4. You cannot declare something to be a right if it involves the actions of another in order to secure that right. You cannot FORCE a doctor to perform his work on someone therefore healthcare cannot be a right.
5. Most likely 99.9% of the current problems with healthcare could be solved by simple free-market solutions. Healthcare was ruined by government intervention.
6. People SUFFER and DIE waiting for months to get care in countries with socialized medicine. 12 WEEKS for an MRI??
(Truth, sure, I give some credit to Ayn Rand amongst others)

Are you talking health care or FREE health care.
I'm not against health care -- but if I work and pay for my health care, can't you do the same?

A better question is why do liberal think the government could manage health care. Go to the VA sometime, that is free healthcare managed by the government and it sucks.

I'm not against anyone having health care just like I'm not against anyone having anything else.
I'm just against you forcing me to PAY FOR IT.
Besides, illegal immigrants count as "Americans" for Census purposes. The increase in "Americans without health insurance" is a function of the increase in illegal immigrants.
Look - STARBUCKS pays $9/hour to start and pays health benefits to anyone working over 32 hours a week.
And you get free coffee too!
Just because you're too proud to wear a green apron doesn't make you a victim.
Fourthy27, below, is right on - - he or she should give some credit to Ayn Rand though.

I think Universal Health Care is the best thing we could do for us. Doctors who work in countries with u.h.c. are paid by what GOOD they do for their patients, and preventative measures they take to keep them from having to come back to the doctor's office. Unlike here, where your life depends on if you can pay your medical bill or not, and Rx's that are throw all over you, instead of treating to cure you.

They do, they want affordable health care for everyone. They don't want extremely expensive health care with diminished services.
